About Us
Our headquarters in Marbella were set in 1989 up by the two founder partners, Juan Luis Balmaseda de Ahumada and Julio Aguado Arrabé, aiming to provide comprehensive services to meet the needs of any client.
After getting established in Marbella, only a few months later, we opened two new offices in Madrid and Vigo.
In 2006 we started our international stage in Eastern Europe with the opening of Balms Abogados Bulgaria, with offices in Sofia and Burgas. That same year we opened another office in Bucharest, Balms & Asociatii.
Lastly, Balms & Cruz was born in 2007 as a result of the association between Balms Abogados and Cruz & Co. in Tangiers, an area with a promising economic development.
In 2008 we received the IMQ Quality and Environmental Certificate. The ceremony was held at our headquarters in Marbella, a city that witnessed our success and dedication.

Part of our efforts are also focused on charity activities through Balms Foundation for Childhood, a non profitable organisation set up to help children in need.
With the support of Balms Group and its professionals the project “Casa de la Infancia” was born aiming to provide food, healthcare, and education to an increasing number of children. This foster house for children provides early stimulation and school support through environmental and other play-activities.
In order to raise funds to support this cause, Balms Group is committed to organise golf and padel tennis tournaments, charity dinners and other social events. We do all this is for children because… children are the future of our world.
Balms Abogados goes beyond all frontiers due to our international network with a multilingual and multicultural team that is well aware of the different business activities in order to find the best solution for our clients.
In 1996, Balms Abogados and Black Graf & Co in London joined to found Balms Group International: the first Spanish-English origin international association of independent law firms.
Our objective is to provide legal advice on an international scale which is why we selected firms from around the globe and established BGI in 20 countries.
